Sweet Luke

Our sweet chocolate lab Luke is almost impossible to take pictures of.

Every time I raise my camera he looks away.  I’ve even tried dangling a treat right in front of the camera to get him to look.  Does that work?  Nope, he glances quickly at the treat but is already looking in the other direction by the time I get a focus lock.

It’s my new mission in life to get a sweet shot of him LOOKING into the camera.

He’s not even two and is already showing some grey in his muzzle.  Completely breaks my heart seeing those little grey hairs.

It’s like a constant reminder that nothing lasts forever.

Poor guy already has hip dysplasia and arthritis, now he’s going grey.

He’s way too young for things like this.  {moment of silence}…

Well, I’m off to Google tips for taking pics of pets 😉

The sweetest Chocolate Lab you will *ever* meet!

Museum of Natural History

The fam and I hopped on the train and headed up to Washington DC for the morning.

We visited the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.  It. Was. Amazing!

As we were walking to the museum these Crepe Myrtles caught my eye. The sun was just lightly touching the tops of them.

Upon entering the museum we met Mr. Wrinkle Pants (named by the Littles.)

Our first stop was to see the DINOSAURS!

Up in the gemology area there was a huge crystal ball that created the coolest picture! I had Love Bug stand on the other side of it so he would appear upside-down on my side.

Itty Bitty peeking in one of the display cases (and his reflection peeking back!)

Glamor Girl LOVED the gemstones and we had to drag her away from the microscopes! Guess what she’s getting for her birthday?? 😉
