Elves Love Zip Lines

After his late night snack of Nana’s peanut butter balls Love Bug had a blast on his new zip line!

He even made his own little elf superhero cape!

Love Bug spent the night zip lining back and forth from the chandelier to the ceiling fan!

Frost and a Daddy/Son Moment

You would laugh if you saw how quickly I dropped the Littles off at school so I could rush back and take pictures of the frost before it melts.

Of course I *could* get up early and take pictures before they wake up but this Mama likes to get every minute of sleep she can!!

The frost looks like teeny tiny skyscrapers!

Love Bug’s class earned 20 class Blue Notes {given for good behavior.}  Their reward was a Business Day where they can dress up like they are going to work and they will get a “coffee break” with juice and cookies.

Fortunately the Hubs was home to help him tie his tie and help him get all “manned up.”

I can’t help myself.  I’m totally in love with Love Bug’s eyelashes and photograph them whenever he will let me!

There are some days when one picture stands out from the others.  It’s not always the most technically correct, or even the one that you are most proud of.

Sometimes it’s a quick snapshot of your Little as he’s running off to jump on the trampoline.

I was out taking pictures and Love Bug ran past me – with cheeks flushed from the cold and a gleam in his eye thinking of practicing his front flips.  He’s getting so big and confident.  I wanted to capture the look on his face.  The one that said nothing is impossible.  That crooked little grin that melts my heart.  The dimple that barely shows unless he wants it to.  The crooked grin is his Daddy’s, his dimple is from me.

Of course two seconds after I snapped the picture he rolled his eyes and ran off to tell his brother that he was “delayed” because Mom caught him with her camera again.

Little punk 😉

You can conquer the world with a crooked grin and a dimple.

So I’m still tossing around different ideas on what kind of photography “project” I’ll do this year.

I’m leaning towards challenging myself to step outside my comfort zone.  While I *love* taking pictures of nature, especially with my macro lens, there are so many other aspects of photography that I haven’t tried.

Landscape, portraits, journalistic, urban, themed sessions, black & white…

While most of these don’t make my photographic heart go pitter patter, I recognize that by trying them I will learn many techniques that will make *ALL* my photos better!

While I’m pondering different ideas here are some pictures I took with the help of my new Macro Ring Lite 🙂

What is up with this last photo you might ask?

My youngest, Itty Bitty, is a tool man.  He *loves* tools almost as much as he loves balloons!

He especially loves to use his tools alongside his Daddy when Daddy’s building something.  This spring the Hubs built some garden boxes and Itty Bitty “helped.”

To keep him occupied {AKA out of trouble} the Hubs had him screw some screws into a piece of wood.  These are the screws.

I came across them while out taking pictures near the garden and they brought a smile to my face.  Hopefully this picture will one day be a reminder of a beautiful memory for Itty Bitty.  A moment in time that he spent surrounded by his Daddy’s love.

The End.

Well, I did it.  I completed my 365+1 Project.  A photo a day for 366 days.

Not all of the photos got posted here on my blog.  I missed a day posting here and there, but I can honestly say that I took at least one photo each and every day this week.

Whew!

Now what do I do?

Should I do another 365 Project?  Maybe a 52 Week one?

What do you think?

Wrapping up the year are a couple pictures of the flowers that the Hubs got me for our anniversary yesterday.  12 years and counting!
